Ting Internet "A Great Town Deserves Great Internet" campaign
Producer, Director, Editor, Sound, Color
The "A great town deserves great internet" campaign was originally conceived by an outside marketing firm, I was asked to take over the project after Ting’s Marketing team was dissatisfied with the original output. My role on the project included hiring local crews to film the spots (with myself present to direct), doing research on the markets to highlight key events and locations to film, budgeting, scheduling, and producing the final product (including editing, final sound, and color-correction). The campaign was a big success, running for several years and generating high levels of brand awareness in early markets.
Ting Mobile "What makes Ting different?"
Producer, Director, Cinematographer,Editor, Sound, Color
In 2018, Ting Mobile wanted to reintroduce itself to the masses as a smarter cell phone service. To keep the budget down, I was asked to keep staffing to a minimum, hence why my credits are so long for this one. Still, we were able to film everything across two-days. Once again Core Studios helped with the animation which I designed and storyboarded. And finally, the live-action stop-motion section was done by myself.
CAA Niagara "Slow Down and Move Over"
Producer, Director, Editor, Sound, Color
In 2024, CAA Niagara asked me to help them produce a series of roadside awareness commercials. As it turns out, their drivers encounter quite-a-bit of danger assisting customers, so these videos were created to allow them to tell their stories.
Ting Internet "Live Smarter. Not Harder."
Producer, Director, Co-Writer, Editor, Sound, Color
This spot was produced during the height of COVID, meaning, organizing an in-person commercial shoot was impractical. So myself and a fellow copy-writer came up with a concept that could lean into stylized CG, mixed with some stock footage. I worked with a vendor out of New Jersey, Core Studios, on the animation, and one of our in-house designers augmented that footage with hand-drawn embellishments.
Hover: "It all starts with a domain" campaign
Producer, Director, Sound, Color
This awareness campaign had two goals: to capitalize on the renewed interest the brand experienced during their COVID-boom, and to also experiment with 6-second YouTube bumpers. We came up with this concept of showing how a website can give life to a business in three panels. Furthermore we wanted to create this campaign as a series of stories, each highlighting a different type of customer that Hover was looking to capture (creatives, independent businesses, etc). We were able to keep the budget low by using Tucows employees as actors, and using one location for the bulk of shooting.
